Medical Acupuncture

Acupuncture For Pain Relief

Western medical acupuncture/myofascial dry needling. This is a therapy using fine needles in muscles. It can be used to help musculoskeletal pain and trigger points. Medical acupuncture can help with chronic low back and neck pain, OA in the knee and has also been found to help to reduce tension-type headaches and migraines.

What is involved in the treatment? Fine needles are inserted to the skin. The number of needles and the length of time they are left in for will vary depending on the complaint.  After the treatment the muscles will feel relaxed and much looser, allowing more mobility in the joints around them.
